2/24/2008 : On Assignment Laos

ChenWH went On Assignment to Laos during the recent Chinese New Year from Febuary 7th to 16th. He travelled from Vientiene to Luang Prabang, the UNESCO designated World Heritage site.

9/7/2007 : On Assignment Angkor, Cambodia

From August 29th to September 5th, Vignettes Editor, ChenWH brought photographer Alex Yap and Kenny Foong to go on assigment at Angkor, Cambodia. This trip is an OnAssigment trip for 2007.

5/2/2007 : Wesak Assignment

May 1st 2007, a labour day holiday but also Wesak day in which buddhists celebrate a religious event. Vignettes went to the Buddhist temple at Brickfield in Kuala Lumpur to cover the event there.

3/2/2007 : Thaipusam Assignment

On Febuary 1st 2007, Vignettes went on assignment to Batu Caves on the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur to capture the religious Thaipusam festival where ten of thousands of Hindu devotees congregate to offer their sacrifice at the temple in Batu Caves. We braced the heavy traffic and crowd to bring you some amazing images of the Thaipusam at Batu Caves. It will be featured in issue 07.

12/17/2006 : Issue 5 is launched

Issue 05 Faces of the city : Putrajaya is out. It is the first of a series focus on cities and it features the work of our 2 new contributors, Michelle Toh and Alex Yap. This issue also undergone redesign to give it a magazine feel and ability to expand by featuring more articles.

11/6/2006 : Issue 4 is launched

Issue 04 a mantle the sea is out. After a long wait we finally managed to get it out. Next would be "Faces of the City: Putrajaya" issue.

9/24/2006 : New contributors recruited

Recently saltsugarpepper has recruited 2 more contributors, Michelle Toh, a writer and Alex Yap, a photographer enthusiast. The work of both will be published in the next issue of Faces of the city: PutraJaya.
